The latest version addresses the following issues and includes all
previous issues:
Version - 120213
This update applies only to those
providers who deal with Washington Vaccine Association. It
addresses a need to pass a PO Box for WA Vaccine Association along with
the regular address for Washington Vaccine Association. No changes
are required by the office other than downloading and installing this
update.
Version - 120202
The Physicians Billing 6.0 software
was programmed to ALWAYS send the Rendering Provider segment for DSHS.
This logic has been removed and now the Rendering Provider segment will
be passed as with all other insurances companies
Version - 120118
Beginning January 1, 2012 certain electronic claim requirements which
previously had not been enforced are now being enforced and as a result
many offices have been getting claims rejected. This update
addresses two of those issues and provides modifications to support
these requirements. 1) Use of NDC now requires entry of a) Unit of
Measure and b) Quantity of the drug. Both the Charges entry and the
History entry screens now provide for entry of the Unit of Measure and the Quantityof the drug 2) Facility name, address (HCFA box 32)
should not
to be passed if the Facility address is the same as the Billing Address
(HCFA box 33). This update will compare address in HCFA Box 32
with address of HCFA Box 33 and will NOT pass Facility if they are
equal.
Version - 120106
An update to allow for the potential requirement of entering the NDC
on services in addition to the usual 'J' and 'G' codes. A
parameter has been added to the Charges entry screen to instruct the
software entry process to always allow entry of NDC for every CPT being
entered. To implement this feature do the following. On the
Charges Entry screen, press the PgDn key. In the box that
pops up answer -Y- to the question -Allow NDC entry on
all services?-. then press the enter key. During the entry of
services the software will then stop for entry of NDC on every CPT.
If the CPT does not require an NDC, just press the escape key to bypass
entry.
Since some providers are registered with Medicare using their SSN
instead of their Fed Tax Id, modifications have been made to permit and
accommodate for this situation. However, it is strongly suggested that
you register the provider with Medicare using their Fed Tax Id as soon
as practical. Click on
Using SSN With Medicare Claims for instructions on to setup your
provider to pass the SSN to Medicare if that is how the provider is
registered with Medicare.
